ART UPDATE
ART is proud to announce that editing on the film version
of our World Premiere stage production, Player's Joy, which was shot live, in performance, at the Naro Expanded Cinema
in Norfolk, Virginia, as the climax to the December 2002
Tidewater Festival of Jewish Film, has now been completed.

Once again starring author Ralph Elias, and restaged for
the 300-plus seat venue by ART Artistic Director
Jonathan Marten, this production of Player's Joy was seen
by a standing room only crowd of more than 600 people over the two days of filming.
The film was produced by Star Circle Films of Virginia Beach, VA, in association with ART. Directing the film was talented young filmmaker, Kimball Carr.

Rodney Bonds, former Chairman of the Baltimore Playwrights
Festival calls Player's Joy "...a work of passion and power.
I was moved from laughter to tears and back again. This
show is a must-see for anyone who loves the theatre."
Star Circle Films is currently working to enter the feature in next year's Sundance Film Festival as well as other film
festivals around the country, before releasing it to cable
and broadcast television.
